"I'm walking on it!"

With over 10 years of experience in marketing and content development, my side-step into copywriting comes with big picture thinking and conversion-focused ideas. I think visually. I ask for data. I hone in on tone, and I don’t stop until every sentence is finessed. I like to take cold showers to find lost words, and I often take a walk around the block to bring on ideas - hence my out-of-office catchphrase, “I’m walking on it.”

Scroll on for some of my recent work.

Hedoine

A tone of voice for tights.

Sassy copy that feels like a friend (holding a cocktail) - this is what I spent 2021 developing the Hedoine tone of voice into. As Hedoine's copywriter, I worked consistently on content and SEO copy across social media, email marketing, blog posts, merchandise, packaging, and product descriptions. I also occasionally took my sassy pants off to write press releases, internal documents, and marketing pitches.

Fin and Earth

A subscription service that means the world.

Fin and Earth is a zero waste refill store located in Dalston, London. Founded by legend ocean-lovers Seda and Bert - who clocked the support for local delivery during covid and launched a subscription service, I have provided mission-focused copy for their new website and upcoming wholesale service as well as supporting print assets and a press release. For Fin and Earth, I made sure the tone of voice remained neighbourly and personal, encouraging empowerment over eco-anxiety.

Tsuno

Tackling taboo and educating boldly on period poverty.

Copy that heroes' charity while educating and supporting menstruators. This was the brief for Tsuno, an empowering Australian social enterprise based in Melbourne that sells period products and donates 50% of profits. Limited period euphemisms were used - although I did play on 'Aunt Flow' to create a series on Instagram, naming it 'Aunt Follow'. Notable projects with Tsuno included a Christmas Charity Card, designer interviews, naming & description copy, monthly newsletters, and automated emails.

Wild Island Films

Feel Vitamins TVC; Celebrity-endorsed vitamins that value science.

A fun one with Feel, starring Cheryl Cole (whose accent remains in my mind whenever I’m on an exercise ball). Working for Wild Island Films who nailed the creative, I assisted with this Feel Vitamins TVC copy working to a 30-second brief, with multiple scenes.

INSOMNIARGHH!

A possibly useless, hopefully comforting guide to not sleeping.

After a nine-ish month journey into the deep, dark depths of insomnia, this zine collaboration was my gift to the world of sans-sleepers. Working with incredible Melbourne illustrator Zac Fay was a dream come true - giving me invaluable insight into writing words that could be magically morphed into illustrations and allowing me the joy of creative collaboration between London and Australia. Featured here on Creative Review, my first ever zine was bought to life via Kickstarter and sent around the world from one tired typer to another. Hit me up if there’s a zine to be written in your world. I do sleep (most of the time) now.
